‘Lakeshore Escape' was a finalist in 2021 Paint Ontario show for sculpture. Using texture, style and line I wanted to convey the feeling one has after a particularly bad day, when you kick off your shoes and walk barefoot along the beach in the water, and the restorative glow that you take on. Being constrained from using detail I have to communicate the story through body language and movement which forces a single-mindedness that doesn't come naturally to me.
